Confined Space Medium Risk Course

A Confined Space course that will enable delegates to have a clear understanding of safe working in Confined Spaces. Individuals will develop knowledge and skills to ensure that they become aware of the risks and hazards associated with Confined Space working and be able to select and use a variety of appropriate equipment to ensure the safety of themselves and others.

This will include Escape Breathing Apparatus.

• Understand the legislation applying to Confined Spaces
• Understand Confined Space Hazards 
• Understand the principles of  Risk Assessments and a Permit to Work System
• Use equipment and tools safely and in accordance with the Manufacturers' instructions
• Understand and demonstrate the duties of the Safety Attendant
• Understand Confined Space Communications  
• Understand procedures for Atmospheric Monitoring
• Understand the principles of Ventilation  
• Prepare and use Escape Breathing Apparatus
• Prepare to enter, work and exit a Low, Medium and High Risk Confined Space safely
• Principles of Confined Space Hygiene
• Demonstrate an understanding of Confined Space Rescue and how to deal with Emergencies
• Use specialist equipment and tools safely
• Understand and demonstrate Resuscitation and CPR
